NEIGHBORHOOD OF LOS ANGELES COSTA RICA:
Safe, friendly neighbors who speak English, Spanish and a handful of other languages. There are local schools and a local bus to San Ramon, plus a small grocery store, church and very nice restaurants all within walking distance. It is mostly a tico area surrounded with farms, farms and more farms …. so enjoy fresh milk carts, pick up trucks on the side of the road with fresh fruits for sale, and soccer games at the field on the weekends. It is slow paced and laid back. Most locals walk or take the bus which is about 5 minute walk down the road. You are in the mountains that make up the western slopes of the Central Valley, about 1.5 hours South of the amazing Volcan Arenal (can also get the bus to this area from the main road), 1 hour West of the SJO international airport and the Capitol of San Jose, and 1 hour East of the Pacific Ocean beaches.
WEATHER OF LOS ANGELES COSTA RICA:
Days are sunny and warm, but there is always breeze. Rainy season is clouds most of the day, with rain in the late afternoons and through the night though typically days are rain free for the most part. It will be damp at this time of year – October usually has the strongest and longest storms. Temps are around 70’s year round, can hit 80s on hot days here and there, and can go down to upper 50s on really cool nights – typically when there is some Nor Eastern brewing up north which even affects us down here. January and February are the windy season with gusts from the north.
